Jacques Pierre Joseph Rode French violinist and composer best known by Pierre Rode. Musician early, Rode was an outstanding violinist with 12 years of age. In 1787 he moved to Paris where he was a pupil of Fauvel and then Giovanni Viotti, which made its public debut. From 1790 he traveled to Europe gave his art and did not return to Paris until 1799 and was appointed soloist of the Opera and establishing himself as a professor at the conservatory. In 1800 he was the solo violin's first consul. In 1803 he published, in collaboration with Pierre Baillot and Rodolphe Kreutzer, the Method of violin conservatory.
